Nunchukker Velma

Recently, Velma Dinkley has been taking a more active role in solving mysteries and exposing and catching villains and various shady characters.  And by active, I mean learning martial arts in order to take down these assorted bad guys.  Among other skills Velma has developed is the use of nunchucks.  She's also been getting advice of a different sort from a friend and fellow martial arts practitioner, Rhonda Roykirk. "Honey, a girl can be a good martial artist and be able to kick any man's ass, but she can also be sexy as well.  Lose the bulky sweater," she said to Velma one day.  "And try wearing a shorter skirt.  You've got nice legs, don't be afraid to show 'em off."  Velma soon found that wearing a more revealing outfit not only aided in giving her more freedom of movement in fighting, but did indeed boost her self-esteem and confidence and let the rest of the Scooby gang see her as more than just a bookish nerd.  The inspiration for a more heroic version of Velma was again inspired by the artwork of my good DA friend, Gulliver63  fav.me/d9lwyzg  (Medium: pen and ink, airbrush, Copic color pens).
