Lois the Twenty-Something by kiff57krocker Lois the Twenty-Something by kiff57krocker
My latest offering to Deviantart is this portrait of Lois Griffin from the Family Guy episode titled, "Lois Comes Out of Her Shell." In it, Lois is depressed over being middle-aged, so Peter arranges a birthday party for his spouse with all of their friends. Then the insensitive fat slob reads a poem that compares Lois to a plow horse. Not surprisingly, Lois runs from the room, crying. Then the next day, Lois surprises her family with a totally new look and attitude, dressing and acting like a twenty-something chippie. She gets hair extensions and even goes so far as to get a "tramp stamp" tattoo across the small of her back. In short, Lois is going through a full-blown midlife crisis. At first, Peter is pleased with this new version of Lois, but soon finds that he cannot keep up with her youthful lifestyle which leaves him almost constantly exhausted. Things finally come to a head when Lois goes out with a group of teens to a Justin Beiber concert and then manages to get backstage and into Beiber's dressing room where she tries to seduce the singer. Peter then breaks in on them, and is enraged when Justin calls him an "old man" and beats the snot out of the little musical girly boy (something I would've done without provocation). In the end, Peter admits he loves Lois for who she is and Lois comes to her senses and decides to act her age and all is well again (as such) in the Griffin household. (Medium: pen and ink, watercolors).

Very nicely done. Definitely a good rendition of her from that episode. Just as HawT as the original. "Excuse me. I gotta thing to do." ;)

Missed that ep but am going to look for it, now. Lois is quite interesting a wife and woman. She looks hot as a twenty-something but, as crude, dumb and loutish as he is, Peter's inability to keep up with her would be challenging under any scenario. Then again, she could dress up like this for him in the bedroom whenever the urge came along.

There is an episode of Family Guy where Lois dressed up like a naughty school girl and tries to get Peter so spank her.

Sounds like a Honeymooners episode brought up to date.
But then, Family Guy, like so many other husband-wife sitcoms of the last 50 years, is based on The Honeymooners format.

True enough, except that Ralph Kramden was loud, easily angered and constantly devising get-rich-quick schemes. And more important, he was reasonably intelligent. Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson are beer-swilling, total morons.

Ah, but in all cases the wives are smarter, and the guys (dumb as posts, perhaps) are, every episode, brought back to earth, and once again realize how much they love them. "Alice, you're the greatest!"

Which is why I often wish a sitcom, live or animated, would portray the husband as smarter than his wife or kids and that he would be the one to get his spouse and children out of trouble because he is smarter than they. In fact, that often happens in real life.

So true. I wonder if The Honeymooners and I Love Lucy sorta set the format 50-60 years ago and now no one questions it or dares challenge it.

You may be right, although in I Love Lucy, it was always Lucy that got in trouble and Ricky usually had to bail her out of it, and he would often yammer angrily at her in Spanish.

So, this was from an actual episode? Interesting. Not having listened to the radio in a long time, I'm only familiar with Beiber by rep, though I believed he performed in the halftime show of the CFL's Grey Cup(their equivalent to the Super Bowl, which takes place on Thanksgiving Sunday).

Indeed it was an actual Family Guy episode. And like you, I have never listened to Justin Beiber's music nor do have any inclination to do so.
